Easy methods to Cover Pinterest Photos in Your WordPress Weblog Posts

Would you like to learn how to hide a Pinterest image in WordPress?

Pinterest can be a great way to drive traffic to your blog, but showing a Pinterest image in your post can make your content difficult to read.

In this article, we’re going to show you how to easily hide a Pinterest image on blog posts, while still allowing readers to pin a custom Pinterest image when they share your content on Pinterest.

Why hide Pinterest images in WordPress posts?

Using Pinterest can be a great way to increase blog traffic.

However, the image sizes recommended by Pinterest don’t always look good when added to blog posts. That’s because the Pinterest image dimensions are long and narrow (3: 2), which is not suitable for most blog layouts.

Not to mention, those big pictures can slow down your website.

You might be wondering why bloggers use longer Pinterest images?

  • They’ll get noticed in the Pinterest pin feed and search results
  • You can use them to redesign your content with new, fresh images
  • You get more traffic than traditional image sizes

By hiding the Pinterest images, you can improve the look of your blog posts and speed up your website. At the same time, you benefit from the advantages that allow readers to create a high-quality image.

Does hiding images affect Pinterest’s Terms of Use?

You may have heard that hiding Pinterest images on your WordPress blog is against the Pinterest Terms of Service (TOS).

But that’s not true.

Hiding a Pinterest image on your website is allowed as long as you meet the following requirements:

  • The Pinterest image corresponds to the content of your post
  • The pin description corresponds to the content or title of your post

Essentially, you can hide images on your WordPress blog as long as the image you’re hiding is relevant to your page.

Do hidden Pinterest images affect Google ranking?

In order for Google to properly rank your website, it needs to be able to index your content. This means that the search engines will crawl your website to see what pages and media your website contains.

Google isn’t necessarily a huge fan of hidden images or hidden content. Especially since hidden content can be linked to spam websites.

However, for legitimate use cases like this, it’s perfectly fine to hide Pinterest images without affecting your Google ranking.
